We supercharged Routeique, a B2B logistics and supply chain platform, with our wholesale recommendation engine that drove a substantial lift in both top and bottom line.

The challenge

The benefits of recommendation engines are well known from the world of B2C e-commerce, but reproducing this success in B2B is complex as the product needs to factor in available inventory, shelf-life, seasonality, and fluctuating customer demand in addition to customer and basket similarity.

The solution

Hype meets these challenges while acting as an extension of existing B2B marketplaces and distributor management systems.
Integrating with existing SaaS platforms via API, it pushes product codes and recommendation scores to an embedded front-end widget to drive a lift in revenue, maximise profit margins and manage inventory risk.

The result

In a randomised control trial comparing placebo recommendations with the real thing, we were able to demonstrate a 12% lift in average basket value and an 8% lift in profitability.
